Yes and no. You will not always meet someone who has dealt or has to deal with the results.

I I think that's actually terrible advice. first a lot of times if you have a problem somebody else has already faced that problem and may have the perfect solution. I find that in real estate quite a bit.

For example I had some gangbangers in my building that I needed to get out. how do I do that? I couldn't evict because they were not in violation. plus they could have destroyed the apartment before I could get them out. nor was there was any security deposit.

I I saw where people had used a cash for keys contact to get people out of foreclosed homes. I'm pretty sure I would not have been smart enough to figure that one out.

here here I learned a lot from the people on the board and I'm trying things that I never would have tried without their advice like CIC.

I wouldn't equate advice about a real estate matter with advice about a health issue or medical procedure but that's just me.

I originally thought that, but found that the doctor can just say " oops this didn't work, what are you going to do? " he made it seem that he was concerned and would do everything to make things right.

He did not. The bottom line is they do the easiest thing that works most of the time for them and try to make the most money, and expect some fallout. You have to live with the results even when they cause other problems.

do your research and find the best doctor and plan for you. Ask questions about potential issues and research what they say. Trust but verify. Get reviews and post yours.

Those that have no interest don't bother with this site. Those that do have an interest can't get enough.

Over 30 years ago, I was fishing with a friend who said "Dumb people never learn from their mistakes. Average people learn from their mistakes. Smart people learn from other people's mistakes?"

    .

One of the good things about these forums is that there are people here with similar health problems who have already dealt with their health problem and have posted their results.

    .

The key is to distinguish between the smart advice and the dumb advice as after over a year on these forums, I can say that there is plenty of both to chose from here. Good luck!

The trouble is with bph treatments there is no certainty for everyone; only statistics. Some will pick the best option but have a poor outcome; others might choose a 'logically' not so good option but have a great outcome. Some people have had TURP and no RE or any other issues while others have had Rezum, Urolift, or PAE and ended up with severe problems. All you can do is make the choice you think is best, try and get a good Uro, and the rest is down to luck imho
