Best course of action????

I have recently been diagnosed with stage 2 uterus prolaps with few annoying symptoms.  I am using Ovestin (oestrogen) cream which has improved things considerably. My query is do I have hysterectomy or continue with Ovestin cream (I can live like this - maybe not forever but certainly for a while longer). Anyone had experience they can share of either surgery or cream option please?  I am in Australia in case any of my terminology seems different smile

Hello Carolann. I've just read your post from 8 months ago. Thought I'd ask how you are now before answering your question because it may not be relevant now.

Hi Matron, yes too late unfortunately! I ended up having a hysterectomy because I had a cyst on my ovary. At my age of 64 it seemed prudent to remove so there was no risk of ovarian cancer. Still don't know if I've dome the right thing but decided I didn't want to go through the stress of having cancer test annually for cysts.

I had a hysterectomy and my ovaries were removed. the gynaecologist said it was for the best because ovarian cancer is often hard to diagnose and I didn't have any use for them anymore!
