Have you had your hip replacement surgery yet?  April is a bit away.  You've got time to work your way up to walking longer distances and practicing stairs.  I'm 10 weeks post op and yesterday went up and down the stairs normally for the first time in years.  What a wonderful trip!  Something definitely to look forward to.

Thanks Linda I'm actually year and a half post Anterior hip replacement.

I CAN walk three miles. But stairs still a challenge.my iliopsoas muscle is causing me problems lifting that leg since surgery.

Too much activity I still get groin pain.so I guess there are many stairs in the castles. I love to see these countries.

      I'm feeling blessed to gosad

I'm sorry that you're still having trouble with stairs.  When you go, enjoy whatever you are able to do - there will be plenty of exciting things to see & do.  More and more places are handicap accessible, so there may be alternatives to climbing stairs.  Go and have fun!

Plenty of time for you recover enough to be able to manage the stairs.  Even if you can't you will find there is plenty for you to do and to see.  I very much hope you enjoy your holiday and if you are visiting the north west of England let me know and we could meet up.

    Hi ginger

Sounds like a great trip even for someone from the UK. Do you know which places you will be visiting yet?

As you have a few months to prepare have you thought about seeing a physio and getting some help, advice and exercises to build up muscle strength for your trip?

      Don't have the itenary yet.

      Thanks for your encouragement.

I've had many times through physiotherapy.

The surgeon wants to remove the muscle involved from the bone.

I'm not going through any more surgery.

      This is my new normal.shoot
