bit scared

Hiya ladies due to have hysterectomy on 7th of january feel bit nervous about how I'm going to feel after expect bit of pain just don't know how long before I can do things eg go shopping back to work ect any advice greatly appreciated Thanks x

    Hi, I had a total hysterectomy 8 years ago.  Best thing I ever did.  I had mine abdominally which was painful but it soon passed and in 6 weeks I was back to fairly normal.  I wasn't able to drive for 6 weeks I'm not sure if you have to stop driving with your op but it is worth checking out.  Follow the advice you are given post op and try not to be anxious. Good luck and let us all know how you get on.  Remember to take it easy afterwards and be kind to yourself.  However it is done this is a major operation and you will need time to adjust and heal. The cleaning can wait a few weeks.
