Bleeding after sexual contact but no penetration

Posted , 4 users are following.

My boyfriend and i both virgin. Last year we decided to have sex. When he inserted hard his on me, it so hurt and we don't get wet or lubricating enough so we stop and only the head of his penis just got inserted. But when going home after we did, i bleed and it last 3 days, like spotting. I'm afraid but that time. What does it mean? Help please.

I don't think the bleeding would be a serious problem if it was very light.

Having sex the first time isn't as easy as most people expect, especially if it's the first time for both partners.  If (when?) you try again, I'd recommend you take it very slow (not easy, I know), and use lube.  Do you have problems inserting fingers or tampons?

Postcoital bleeding isn't particularly unusual, especially the first two or three times.  If it's anything up to heavy spotting, it isn't normally a sign of a problem.

If it hurts even to insert one finger though, then I'd consider seeing a doctor, as an erect penis is typically a lot larger, and it's likely to hurt a lot, and not be in any way enjoyable for you or your boyfriend.  Have you ever had a Pap smear btw?

These links may help, though the second two are written for doctors:
