Blood Pressure Issues After IUD

I recently had a Mirena IUD put in and now I'm having blood pressure issues. Has anyone else experienced this? I actually went to urgent care this evening because it got pretty high. She said she suspects the IUD is the culprit. Gave me a water pill for BP for 30 days and told me to call my GYN first thing to get it removed. I'm having a bad hot/flushed feeling in neck and chest and back of arms, headache and dizziness. Which I thought was hormones trying to balance, then I thought to check my BP and found it's been a bit high and it got higher as each day has gone on. Highly annoyed. This IUD was supposed to fix things not create another problem.
