Hi Donna.  Sorry about your symptoms.

I've had some jerks during the night/sleep for months.... very annoying.  I used to wake up each time.  I also have Fibromyalgia so, I suppose, everything was part of the package.  Over a month ago I have had an appointment with an osteopath and he told me I needed extra magnesium supplementation.  Since I’ve supplemented I have them much less.  Regardless of + or – magnesium if continue having them it’s better to go to a consultant or naturopathic practitioner. It can be Myoclonus which is neurologic condition.  All the best.

Hi donna, yes i sometimes get these especially in my legs, i have been told that it is yet just another symptom of peri as long as you don't have any other medical problems, as if we don't have enough to cope with!!!! Try not to panic, it is really annoying and hopefully it will all end soon, stay wonderful xx

    Hi Donna

i have been to A&E 3 times with what I can only describe as a seizure, my whole body locks up, the pain is not like a pain if someone hits you it's not sharp or stabbing it's like a burning fizzing sensation it makes me cry, it seems to be deep in my body all the joints muscles bones, it last for about hour then stops for about three days, even the hospital didn't know what it is.

My gp said its part of the menopause, every time I go in with something, it's the menopause, I'm sick to death of it, I have never met anyone else or heard of anyone having symptoms like this. 😡

Hi Scampi, i just read your post and had to send you a message, that sounds awful i really feel for you . I dont think you should listen to your GP and ask for some tests to be done simple ones,i've had them and they're ok ,like an ultrasound scan etc instead of blaming everything on the menopause . Hope you're OK xxx

      Hi arlene

thank you you for the reply, I have had lots of tests, ct on my stomach, colonoscopy, barium swallow, scan on my thyroid, camera up my nose, lots of gynological tests, they found two very small cyst in both kidneys, and all bloods were fine for the ones they did, I have at last got an endocrinologist appointment, after 14 months of begging and pleading I had to draft a letter, so will have to wait and see what the endo finds, I also have bppv beningn proximal positional vertigo and tinnitus that only came when I got an infection from the coil, the only bit of me that has not really been checked is a scan of my head, the hospital thought it may be neurological and sent me home with morphine, June my appointment I have also forwarded a letter to the consultant putting every illness pain everything in it so he has an insight before I get there. Hopefully he will be able to help.
