Just started dating a guy recently that has HSV 2, he was very upfront with letting me know that he has it i am still scared for obvious reasons. He said he is on antivirals, and would always let me know if he is ever having an OB, i guess im just looking for reassurance or help from others, that u can safely be with someone with it and not become infected, or just advice on it all.

You very welcome just have to be more careful than others I know it's very nervous coz most of the time you'll be think what if I end up with it but believe me if your careful and be patient its worth it at then end I'm glad that you find my information useful just remember the 3 key before you have sex

      1. Look for any redness

      2. Cheek before sex for lumps

      3. Have as much sex as you can

As longes as he is clear of spots or redness or lumps have as much sex as you can coz when he is ob it can take up to 3 to 6 weeks to clear before its safe again to have sex you'll get use to when he as a ob and it becomes easy to know when it's safe it just takes time get you boyfriend to write on a diary the day he ob and how long ob last and you will keep yourself safe and on track that's what I do and I know when and how long it's going to last hope this helps
