    Hi Izthewiz

I have had the same problem like few years ago. I was on Tamsulosin for few months but I had to stop it for side effects.

I have decided to use natural treatments for my BPH such as Pumpkin seeds capsules, Beta sitosterol, Saw palmetto, Pygeum park. I used to wake up 4 to 6 times for a pee and my problem was resolved after taking the pumpkin seeds capsules. Do your research about these herbs.

Do not drink coffee or tea before bed time or any alcohol . In my case , I stop drinking between 4 pm and 5 pm.

    No red meat

    No diary products (cheese, yoghurt)

    No processed food

Use almond milk, oat milk, coconut milk

    Eat a lot of vegetable

If you are overweight, try to lose few kg /pounds

    Eat brown pasta or rice

Now I wake up only once sometimes I sleep through the night.

Making sure I understand you here. Are you saying pumpkin seed capsules work well for this. My doctor talked about putting me on Flomax. But I really hate taking meds and I'm looking for an alternative.

Pumpkin seed capsules worked for me after few days. My urination problem is resolved, I stopped using them. As you know, some natural treatment can work for some people and some not. Try for yourself and you will decide if it is good or not.

Thanks for the reply. I will certainly try that before I take any meds, but my symptoms are all gone so I will hold off as long as possible.

don't take Flomax/Tamsulosin, it will cause you likely RE, (retro ejaculation) or no/dry ejaculant, take Alfuzosin, from the same group of drugs but with much less side effects, works the same way, read about Flomax and Alfuzosin, lots of info here, I was 5 years on Flomax, had RE and once I learned I swiched to Alfuzosin and recovered most of my ejaculant, but I am 72, you are young, you don't want RE, forget saw palmetto, etc, there is no scientific proof it works, good luck, at 37 and BPH?, you are extreme case, you sure it's BPH???

    my urologist thinks its bph

do to using testosterone replacement therapy for over 5 years.

it can cause the prostate to grow i guess.

    still unsure.

My frequent urination comes and goes no pain or blood in urine.

    very unsure at this point

Flomax is for the prostate. Oxybutynin is for bladder spasms. If Oxy works, then it may be bladder spasms causing your issue rather than an enlarged prostate. Did you have a cystoscopy? That would confirm if the enlarged prostate is restricting your flow.

I was on Oxy for 10-12 years (starting at age 50) until BPH came into play in my early 60s (I took doxazosin). I had a TURP at 70 and now don't have to take anything.

Either condition can affect quality of life.

    Good luck.
