Breast Pain...related to chest pain?

I'm 44 yrs old and had my first mammogram in Oct as a precaution due to having a greenish discharge in right breast. I took antibiotics which cleared the suspected infection. Also had ultrasound on right breast. Was told they saw a couple lymph nodes and benign cysts...all in all it was normal. A few weeks later started having pain in LEFT breast. I thought maybe the mammogram squashed a cyst. The pain comes and goes and sometimes feels like it is near my heart. I keep telling myself it's due to perimenopause as I have a couple other symptoms, but sometimes it's just really hard to convince myself it's not cancer. Anyone else experience anything like this? I really have debated going back to doctor, but I have read of others experiencing breast pain as they headed toward menopause, and I guess I just wanted some more reassurance that breast pain is a common occurrence.
