Bronchitis with fever?

Hello, I'm a 28 years old man with no previous health issues and I come to you with the following problem that's giving me a lot of anxiety.

Last Friday I started having cold symptoms, body aches, low fever, a bit of a runny nose, but didn't seem serious until I went to bed. My fever went up to 101.1, my all my body was aching and I could barely move from the pain, so I took a trip to the ER the next morning.

At the ER my fever dropped by ot self to 100, they told me it was a pharyngitis, gave me antibiotics and analgesics, I had also had an X-ray done and there was no trace of pneumonia.

The following day, Sunday my fever went up to 102 F if I didn't take my Tylenol, even so, my body wasn't in so much pain any more.

I decided to consult one ear, nose and neck doctor on Monday, since I had almost been in antibiotics for 48 hrs and wasn't improving. At this point I had no symptoms of a cold, no sore throat, no cough or runny nose, just having a 101 fever and a feeling of extreme tiredness. she suggested it could be the flu. I took the rapid test and it was negative, the dr. said it must be some other viral stuff and I just needed to keep hydrated. I have to mention as soon as I stopped the antibiotics I started with green back nasal drip and cough.

The next day, Tuesday, I woke up with no fever, 99.5, and went to see a pneumologist, he said what I have is acute bronchitis, and just need rest, indeed, that same day I started coughing more and more.

To be honest I'm a bit worried because since Tuesday until now, Friday I wake up without fever but it comes back around 4 pm. it's been a week with fever and a bit of a fast pulse, around 110 bpm.

I was wondering if anyone that has experienced bronchitis the same way? Do you think it might be bacterial bronchitis and need another antibiotic?

forgive the extension of my post, thank you very much

There is a nasty flu like virus doing the rounds, it could be that, the cough goes on for ages after all the other symptoms have gone. My daughter and granddaughter have both had it, as has my neighbour. Antibiotics do no good what so ever if it is a virus, too many anti biotics are not good either as when you really need them they don't work .
