    Prescribed Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid combo...

    Been prescribed Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid to treat light to middling bleeding and period-like abdo / pelvic pain after having Implanon (contraceptive implant) put in 6 weeks ago, I know the bleeding and pain is due to a temporary Hormonal imbalance after having the implant so it seems odd

    Tranexamic Acid

    This medication did help me only when I did use 2 pills every 4 or 6 houres and thanks to the other people in this group. Also, they recommend of eating pinapple and with Mollasses was so helpfull for bleeding. Thanks and I get well so soon.

    I took Tranexamic Acid 500mg

    Prescribed Tranexamic Acid for continuous bleeding - is this right?

    Hi, I've been prescribed Tranexamic Acid, and I'm not sure if it's right.   I started having very heavy continuous bleeding 6 months ago.  The GP found I was hyothyroid so am treated for that now.  She gave me norethisterone for the bleeding and I took it for 8 weeks non stop (very very bad idea)

    i had the depo injection 11 weeks ago and have been bleeding for 8 weeks constant, im not happy the doctor said it should stop if i have the next injection but i said no, she gave me tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding, ive been taking them for 2days now but it doesnt seem to be stopping

    Basically I had my 1st shot on the 21st of October and have had bleeding consistently since really. I bought tranexamic acid from boots and foolishly forgot to ask.     TRANEXAMIC ACID

    Had heavy periods for about 5 years, got anaemic on iron tablets and was given the acid to take to help with the heavy bleeding. Started taking them in December just gone and now in Feb and March have had irregular bleeding and light flow breakthrough bleeding! The first time for me in 30 years.
