Bruising and anxiety

I have just returned from a baton twirling competition and have numerous bruises. I remember hitting myself with my baton a number of times which is where they are but I swear a few more have appeared that I can’t remember doing. Does anyone else get anxious bruises are blood clots??

Hi Don't worry. Bruises are not the same as blood clots . Bruises are due to capillaries tiny blood vessels- breaking under your skin as a result of injury. in your case with a baton. They should take a couple of weeks to disappear but turn yellow as days go on.

You could perhaps try an ice pack to help the pain or discomfort.

?It is only when bruising appears for no apparent reason that you should see your dr.

    Hope that helps.
