my vagina started to burn a little 4 days ago, but at first i had just assumed it was razor burn because i shaved the day before. it’s now gotten to this and i’m worried, do i have genital herpes? i’m currently in a monogamous relationship with my boyfriend but symptoms are just now showing?

genital herpes often accompanies with burning, itching and painful blisters, you even feel pain during sex or urination. Do you have these signs and have you gotten tested?

I got herpes after 4 months ago but i just thought that i had vaginal yeast infection. As my vagina didn't have bumps,  i didn't think about herpes. But 2 days later, tiny bumps appeared and accompanied by crazy itching and pain. These actually made me worried. I got tests and my doctor recommended valtrex to me. Unluckily, the med made my neck and cheek too itching. Then, she required me to stop and gave me prosurx cream. I didn't think it worked well for me. But the cream actually worked better than i think. I just share my experiences and hope this comment will be useful for you. You shouldn't be worried. Before having herpes, i had vaginal yeast infection. And now, the infection turns again and I'm trying to cope with it. Be optimistic!

    hi jade61665,

if bumps accompany with burning and itching, you may have herpes. You can cure it with home remedies like olive leaf extract, tea tree oil or apple cider vinegar. But before applying, you should dilute tea tree oil or apple cider vinegar with water to avoid allergies. In case you're not sure about home remedies, you should meet your doctor to ask about antiviral medication.
