Burning, itching, red, oozy face

Christmas morning, my girlfriend woke up with a few red, itchy, burning spots. There are so many options on what could have caused this. She was pinned down by a dog & licked over her entire face a few days ago, she used a new face wash and moisturizer on Christmas eve & may have slept on questionable essential oils without knowing. She suffered with a couple small spots of this in about may, but its come back, 10x worse. Any ideas would be a wonderful help!File size is too bigFile size is too bigFile size is too big

I'm not sure what it is but you could try these remedies.

1st day apply CORTIZONE cream and see if it helps , if it doesn't then try an otc antifungal like Lotrimin or Lamisil.

Last you could apply a thin layer of Neosporin , Bacitracin (antibacterial)

if any of these works you'll almost know what it was.

The most important thing is to see a doctor before advices from this forum.

I'm guessing its an allergy to either the face wash or the moisturizer or both. Tell her to stop using both, and go back to her normal wash and moisturizer. She could also take an allergy tablet one a day, which you should be able to buy in the supermarket or chemist/pharmacy.

Pattinos advice about applying 1% hydrocortisone cream is helpful as well.

If neither of these actions brings any relief it may be viral and it will resolve itself,or she may have developed rosacea.

If the rash doesnt go,then a doctors advice should be sought. Especially if she starts to feel poorly with high temperature.
