Burning pain in hip

Has anyone else experienced a burning pain in their hip post operation. Specifically when walking? This has recently started 3-4 weeks ago and I can't walk for more than 1-2 minutes before this happens.

thanks for replying, I've been so worried about this. My GP has told me to rest, but be active and not overdo it. Plus I've had to up my painkillers. I was having PT and have asked to be referred back to it. The burning starts 1 or 2 minutes into walking (not pottering round the house), I normally stop for a few seconds and then if it doesn't go when I resume walking I get my stick out and try and carry on. I'm trying so hard to walk 'correctly' as I've limped for the past couple of years on and off and post op I'd like to get it right! I had a slipped disc as well last year which hasn't helped!
I'm going to try rubbing it when it happens and see if it helps. Thanks.

The frustrating thing is this has cropped up in last few weeks and I am 5 month post op. Recovery is so NOT linear hey?!
When did you have your op? Was it THR?

Had my post op follow up visit with surgeon on May 13 and new xray showed left hip's advanced state of cartilage gone ... within 6 months from mild to almost bone-on-bone --- phew ...
have a great day - it is raining here now, making it damp and humid ...

mmh I know what you mean, I was in pain yesterday because of the pressure building to stormy weather.
Does that mean a L THR for you in the near future?

What a lot you've got going on. Fingers crossed re finding a new place. I couldn't have even thought about moving - 4th week post op I was still dealing with DVT scares (I had two) and struggling so much with sleep deprivation and pain.
