No one died...lol...
Covered... There's always sensation when the incision rubs against things (clothes, sheets, etc.) for a while. I recommend a loose ACE (stretch) bandage or a knee sleeve one size larger than you would normally use. As long as it fits comfortably and doesn't slide down, it will keep those annoying rubbing sensations at bay.
Burning... The knee and its nerves are still healing...will be for quite some time. I recommend you get your hands on some Voltaren Gel (RX in the USA). Fantastic topical anti-inflammatory...better than anything OTC. Works in 15 minutes...

For straight-up pain, I've had fantastic success with "The Lotion", That's what it's called...just "The Lotion". Made by certain specialists from certain natural floral ingredients in certain states obtained at certain dispensaries by certain people with a certain special medical card. Hands down, the best thing on the entire planet. Yes, it is green in color and works in 5 minutes or less. Know anyone in Colorado?

Hi Eileen i am 16 weeks post op. On holiday the last fortnight i didn't do the exercises the way i should have but walked forever. But now I am back home and a different climate i am regretting not doing the exercises as i should have. I go back to the surgeon on the 31st May but his bed side manner is not very good. I need my other one doing and not looking forward to it. Oh happy days. Take care hope you feel better soon. X

Glad you are improving. I'm like you I thought walking could take the place if some of the exercises . I'm ok at walking & stairs but must admit am a bit lazy with some of the exercises

Hi Susan...My husband still has burning/stinging after 2 yrs of TKR in both knees. Just curious about the difference in climates. Was the holiday time in a warmer climate? We live in a climate that is constantly changing. damp cold, then warmer, then right back to rain damp colder weather. We were thinking that a warmer type of area might be better. At this point we are trying to think of everything. Surgeon keeps telling him everything is ok but it's not. Thanks.

Hi Eileen, I'm an Eileen also and I'm 13 weeks post bilateral TKR. It sounds like I have the same thing. To me it's like a pins and needles sensation that comes and goes but always seems to be worse at night. I think it's all part of this long process of healing. Right at this very moment I'm icing which seems to help and ibuprofen too. I dislike the numb feeling I have in both my legs up to my knees. It's so weird! I've sort of gotten used to it was told it may get a little better??!! Who knows?! We just have to have patience and we'll get ghrough this. ??🙏
