Burning sensation

hi all, just wondering if anyone has had bouts of burning sensation all over body giving a sensation of not being in body during these episodes. doctors put it down to acid which i doubt as im all too familiar with acid reflux myself. the burning would be prevelant down below and all over body giving a very scary sensation. my wife has one kidney repair done over 20 years ago so im thinking would a faulty kidney be responsible for such episodes? she is due for ultrasound next month and hoping that will provide some answers. i would be interested to know if any one elsd had or has such episodes?

    Is the burning in the kidney area? Does the burning sensation occur during urination? Was she tested for a UTi/kidney infection? Sometimes burning sensations can be due to neuralgia as well which can occur after surgery. See what the ultrasound shows first and if nothing turns up, ask for a nerve conduction test from a neurologist.
