bv cure

Posted , 4 users are following.

Went to multiple doctors and they all prescribed me the same thing. Then every month after my period it came sneaking its way back. Haunting me. Went to another doctor and she prescribed me the same antibiotics but enough for me and my spouse. Obviously we all know by now that men cannot get or give bv. But what they can do is carry the bacteria that causes it. Once me and my spouse finished the antibiotics I have been bv free.

It's really great that you don't have the symptoms of bv anymore. I hope it continues that way. Hopefully you were advised to take probiotics with the antibiotics? Taking antibiotics though is something I wish I had not done. It has completely destroyed my digestive system to the point where I am now housebound. All from taking multiple antibiotics to 'cure' bv. To the people reading this. Do your research before taking antibiotics as doctors hand it out all too easily. There are other methods out there which can truly cure this without damaging your gut flora further. I managed to do it by accident after many years with chronic bv while trying to fix my digestive issues. Good diet and good probiotics is did it in the end

I too after much research decided to treat both myself & my partner with antibiotics at the same time, previously I alone took them & it kept returning. However since we both took them together I have been BV free, its been almost 3 months now that its gone. I am still taking probiotics & as a precaution use balance activ bv gel for 2 days after my period. So happy to finally be rid of this horrible thing smile

BV is a ph imbalance.  Things that can cause that imbalance your own period and semen...why?  both are higher in ph than it likes to be down there. A vaginal pH of 3.5-4.5 indicates that there is a perfect amount of good bacteria (lactobacilli), and no overgrowth of the bad bacteria that can cause odor, irritation and sometimes infection.  There are a surprising number of triggers that can upset the vaginal ecosystem: Menstruation: Blood has a pH of 7.4, so during your period, vaginal pH becomes elevated.

Tampons: Since they retain the fluids that cause pH to increase, tampons can contribute to the problem.

Intercourse: The pH of semen is 7.1 to 8.

Douching and cleansers: Any vaginal infusion of water or other fluids can affect vaginal pH. The pH of water is 7, and fragrances and perfumes can also irritate the vagina.

Treating your partner would do nothing as he is not giving you anything.

The above info is all correct Bridget but I beg to differ about our partners...they can indeed transmit the bacteria to us & I only got bv for the first time in my life after starting my current relationship. Every time I cleared it it would once again return a day or two after having sex with my partner. I tried all remedies & it didnt clear until we were both treated with flagyl at the same time...I'm not saying this will work for everyone but it did for me & many others ( I found this out by research) so thought it was worth a try. I was at my wits end with this horrible horrible infection & am now cured. I'm passing on this info in the hope it helps someone else as I know the distress it causes.

It is an imbalance in your body. The bacteria is already present in ur body. You can getvit without even having sex. unless its 2 females it is not transferrable at least from my research.
