Can anxiety peek at time of month?

For women can anxiety peek before your period? The last few days I've felt more symptoms of anxiety and I'm due my period tomorrow. Could it be hormone changes? I've been feeling okay the last few weeks, then anxiety peeks every now and then, which has made me think it may just peak before my period every month. I need to write down the dates I'm anxious

Hi I can feel suicidal ideation before my period. I suffer with anxiety disorder & mine does get worse before my period. I find I'm quite clumsy too & I have problems sleeping the week before with PMS. It's hard being a woman isn't it.

It is horrible, I just feel like I can't breath and been feeling more anxious. Getting all these irrational anxious thoughts that I have to tell myself to shake from my brain

They do help. I just read "at last a ife" - Paul David I alredy new most of the stuff in the book but it help reconfirm the symptoms of anxiety & provides sucess stories. "women who think too much" is another good one. I'm an overthinker, which doesn't help anxiety. Most libraries will have a good range of books. I've got "change your brain change your life" - explains more about brain function & highlights possible causes of mental health problems, only a couple of chapters in on that one.

Don't forget we need an extra 200 calories a day in the week before a period to help our bodies cope with the hormonal changes & maybe take some magnesium & iron supplements if you don't already.
