Can lpr cause brain fog and weakness when it shoots up the nose?

Can lpr affect the nose long term causing thick sticky dry mucus that always seems stuck and can't come out. When it gets really bad i get brain fog and confusion, and when I drive I feel like I am driving impaired ( I don't drink smoke or use drugs). I used to think I had sinus issues, but I have had 2 sinus scans and a brain scan and everything looks good. Nasal endoscopy and and laryngoscopy shows redness and some inflammation. The mucus feel chewy and weird like my mucus membranes are too dry. Sometimes I wake up with a headache. This is chronic please help

It's amazing the symptoms this stuff causes. Make sure you drink a lot of water/liquid to help what's there thin out more. I have cut out all milk products. That seems to help. I've cut coffee, sugar and gluten out of my diet. It's helped a lot too. I eat no fried foods or very acidic foods. It will get better. Right now I'm experiencing the pressure in my ear and head. Not sure if it's the LPR or allergies. Everything's blooming. Follow the Acid Watcher's Diet and look at the group on Facebook. It really helped me a lot. Also, if you have a sore throat alkaline water helps a lot.

At the risk of repeating myself on this forum too many times:

What is the reason for your LPR?  How is the reflux traveling up that far?

One likely possibility is that you have Sleep Apnea.

If you have SA then you are waking up hundreds of times per night to get a breathe of air but not aware of it.

This gasping for air helps pump the reflux material up into your sinuses etc.

You will be passed around for the next 30 years to have checks and investigations and much money will be made, but all you might need is treatment for SA.

SA gives you headaches especially in the morning and makes you feel doughy. Daytime sleepiness is also a feature. At commencement of SA treatment your energy returns and you feel great again.

Your sinus issues sound like they could be caused by rellux, that has been my experience but went undiagnosed for 30 years because doctors & specialists are not tuned in to SA.

80% of the immune system is located in the gut. Start with changing your diet to fruit, veg, nuts, seeds, avoid grains. Try to take as much organic foods as you can. Take a probiotic with at least 50,000 or more CFU’s and eat foods that are not only organic, but from grass fed cattle. Organic Ghee, grass fed dedicated liver, a good organic bone broth, kimchi etc. Grass fed foods often have more probiotics than supplements. Most diseases can be avoided if you have a healthy gut.
