Hi,
I'm hoping for some advice.
I stopped taking my prescribed 150mg Sertraline back in February (I was taking this for 2 and a half years) and did so quite suddenly as I was feeling better and thought that I no longer needed them.
I went through the withdrawal process (brain zaps, dizziness, disorientation etc) and following this felt OK for a short period.
However, the signs of depression soon began to resurface and so I went back to my GP who prescribed me 50mg of Sertraline.
I remained on this for two weeks and then went back and had my dose increased to 100mg.
I have been on this dose for ten days now and feel as though my depression has deepened.
My question is do you think Sertraline will work again and if so would I possibly have to increase my dose to 150mg that I was on previously.
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated

I went back to my doctor today who said that as it was a month that i'd been on Sertraline I could try something else. He prescribed me 10mg of Citalopram along with some Propranolol and told me to stop the 100mg Sertraline and start straight on the 10mg Citalopram tomorrow.
Do you think i'm being a bit hasty in expecting the Sertraline to work and should I possibly just continue on it for a while longer to see if it takes effect or should I make the switch tomorrow?
Any thoughts would be appreciated
