Can’t stop coughing, feel like there’s fluid in my chest

For the past week I've been sick. It started out with a sore throat, a runny nose, fatigue, nausea and a cough and the coughing has only been getting worse. it's hard to go a couple minutes without coughing hard and it feels like there's fluid in my chest, I don't know how to describe it but it's uncomfortable and makes it a little hard to breathe and It's also really hard to sleep. Could this just be a cold?

    There is a really nasty virus doing the rounds almost flu like and the cough last for weeks, you could have this, not a lot that can be done except treat the side effects if necessary if this is what you have.
