Since august I have had stomach issues. Been to two doctors and both said anxiety and gerd. I told one about my terrible health anxiety and that I was convinced I have pancreatic cancer. She told me that it is anxiety and gerd, and if it was pancreatic cancer something would have shown up in my blood work. I started to calm down and told myself that I needed to trust my doctor. My health anxiety was calming down and then BAM is rears its ugly head when I noticed my menstral cycle was off. Now I am convinced I have ovarian cancer. 9 months ago I had a heavy painful menstral cycle and I had an ultra sound done by two different Dr's they both said the ultra sound looked good and I was diagnosed with under active thyroid. I am so angry at myself for getting worked up again just as I was starting to calm down . I don't know what to do, I made the mistake of consulting Dr Google and now I'm sure there is something really wrong. Any advice , help would be greatly appreciated I am so distraught right now sad

Hey I totally get it. We work our selves up especially when we google symptoms. Me and you both need to stay away from google because it makes our anxiety go through the roof. I also have health anxiety.. every little ache and pain I think there is always something more going on than there is. I suffer from IBS and Gerd. The reason is because my anxiety gets so bad that our stomach starts to act up. It is true we can make our symptoms worse by over thinking our brain is very powerful so when you start to feel that things are wrong just turn it around and say I'm ok this is all apart of getting older 😊 Hope this helps

I have suffered from anxiety and panic disorder since 2007 and it seems when I get it under control, I seem to have to battle yet another new symptom. I have had abdominal pain, constipation and diarrhea the last two days. Over the past year it has happened 6 to 8 times and boy does it hurt. I have no idea what it is, so I automatically think it's an intestinal blockage or colon cancer or something terrible. I get sick of going to the doctor and they see anxiety and dismiss everything you say because you have health anxiety. I am so tired of feeling like crap. My anxiety gets out of hand when I don't feel good.

Hey there, I suffer from gad and bad health anxiety too. I know how you feel. Every little change I'm my body,I notice it and I'm convinced for days that I'm terminally ill until the symptoms subside and I'm convinced it's my anxiety. You have to know that anxiety changes the whole chemistry in our body, thus those weird pains and reactions. I, myself experience light headness and dizziness and faint like feelings these days and I think I have a brain tumor and I'm exactly in the same situation as you. sad I'm really tired of this. Best of luck,I hope we all get better someday.
