Can you save up your fat grams?

[color=blue:a501887807]I'm really excited as I can finally start Orlistat tomorrow - I feel very motivated at the moment just hope it will last!

I wanted to ask you all:

Can you save up fat grams that you don't use during the day for later on in the week?

What am I likely to expect in the first few days?[/color:a501887807]

Thanks

To answer your question simply - No!

You must not exceed 30g total fat a day and no more than 15g total fat per meal.

The tablet works by removing 1/3 of the fat you consume, if you consume 15g fat then 5g is removed by the tablet, this will come out when you open your bowels and will be normal. If you exceed this then the body will try to evacuate the fat in a more ugent fashion i.e accidents like orange oil, the more you exceed by the more unpleasant the reaction basically.

I agree the answer is no. I have been on the tablets for just over 2 weeks now and have not had any accidents because I have stuck to the rules. I have had a couple of social meals where I knew I couldnr avoid going over 15g so I left off that meals tablet. I wouldn't recommend that unless absolutely necessary though as then you may as well not be on them.

I'm off to a wedding tomorrow and staying in a hotel overnight but that will be my last day off until my weigh in Nov 8th. Like you I am very excited. Still in shock though at just how much fat are in some of the so called low fat healthy ready meals.

Our steamer broke a few months ago but finally got round to buying a new one this week so need to get in the habit of using it. I'm not the best cook in the world but I guess it's never too late to learn :chef:

Good luck. I'm sure you'll be just fine.

as already stated it is NO.

Also I would advise being very low on fat today as well or try and delay the tablets until you have been. Do not do a last day splurge as you may get the orange if you do.

Many thanks for the advice, I'll make sure that I don't go over the limit and not carry them over to the next day.

On day 2 of the tablets and so far so good, not noticed different.
