All I can say that I was so, so anxious about the actual surgery and it was an absolute piece of cake. I had a spinal with Versed in an IV in my arm. One second I was awake and the next It was over. They tell me it was 3 hours. It's after surgery that I won't lie about. It is TOUGH! I had both knees done and I couldn't believe they had me up that evening. I almost fainted but I stood up! Unreal! I hope the your wait goes fast so you can start the process and get on with your life. You're in my prayers.

Perhaps you could use the time to ensure being really prepared for the operation . .for example, strengthening upper body muscles ready to cope with crutches, making sure you have everything ready at home. . plastic plates and glasses, frozen meals in the freezer, a chair high enough to sit in and do some of the exercises, an across body bag big enough to carry things around like a book etc., if possible some sort of trolley for transporting food/drinks to the table,, a supplement for the toilet to make it higher, GOOD painkillers, some really soft loose trousers, easy to put on shoes perhaps a size bigger than usual to allow for swelling, sme form of ice. . either ice packs, or the ice machine,  . . . and I hope they don't keep you waiting any longer than that!  All the best . .

Oh no Chris! How frustrating, it's not just the pain though is it? You get yourself psyched up to have the op & the week before you just want it done & over with. Then they hit you with cancellation!

    I'm so sorry!

Aww Chris , that's awful .It also happened to my friend the hospital rang up the day before, bags were & all ready. The news is always on about cancellations they should take more care before over booking. I hope you get yours done soon, what can you do we're at their mercy. Do take care
