I hope that Tracey was able to go in for her surgery.
I had mine on Weds and came home yesterday afternoon (Sat). He couldn't do it keyhole so I have been cut open for the 4th, and last time. He took my remaining ovary out (no complications) and I have now started my HRT.
I was very low on Friday but I think I was coming down from the anaesthetic and morphine. I have had lots of visitors and loads of lovely flowers and am feeling happier now that it's over & done with.
I've been signed off for 6 weeks so just have to rest which is really hard for a control freak like me! I can't groom my dog either which I hadn't thought about - I need to start getting him in shape for Crufts! He can't understand why he can't sit on my lap.
Hope everyone else is okay.

Yes, I'm resting up and my poor husband is doing everything! My dog is very subdued but I think he understands!
I've only been taking the HRT since Friday but I seem to be okay.
Gotta go as I can't sit on this computer chair for too long!

I have a feeling I'll be up for the open sugery bit too - I'm rather too well padded for keyhole I think.
I had a C-section when I had my son so I'm assuming I'll feel much the same as I did then.
What kind of pain relief did you get? With my c-section I had a PCA and I have to say it was wonderful I was all for leaving it in.
What kind of dog do you have?
I have two Cocker Spaniels - my babies, can't imagine life without them.
Take care rest up.

Jill I am glad everything went well for you and i know what you feel about having to sit tight and do noting for 6 weeks its going to kill me too. I feel so much better for having it done already and apart from the actual wound I feel great. Infact the wound doesnt hurt that much when I move its the blisters from the dressings that are a killer.
My doc told me I would feel low and I did on Mon and tues mornings I was very tearful. He said you wait for so long to have it done then its a huge anti climax afterwards. I feel so much better for coming home though felt like cabin fever being stuck in a room for 5 days although by day 3 I was allowed to have walks along the corridor.
I had morphine until sat morning then I was put on paracetemol and ibrufophen and codeine if I needed it. I had a catheter until sat night and the drain came out on saturday tea time
My stitches came out this morning and the skin was starting to grow over already as people were shcked the stitiches were coming out already. He has done a really good job from what I can see.
I have to go back in 3 weeks for a check up and to get my cancer results from the cyst
I have my new mirena coil too to stop me bleeding all the time and I only bled for 2 days after my hysteroscopy and d and c which is good. Infact my blood count was normal within 3 days.
So thats Jill and I on the road to recovery now we are waiting for Kim and Janice then we will all be well and happy
My dog was made up to see me to and as its bonfire night she has got her bed in the bedroom with me

Yes, I'm so pleased it's all done. I had a Morphine PCA pump when I came round from surgery which was great for the pain relief. Morphine can make you feel a little sick after a while though so I only used it for a couple of hours.
I have a gorgeous 2 1/2 year old Wesite called Milo. he is my sunchine and I love him to bits. he has been very understanding & hasn't jumped on me at all!
When are you going in for your surgery?

Westies are gorgeous - there was a wee one very close to my heart once Bonnie, what a beauty she was too. She belonged to my ex inlaws, and I loved her, she was such a character.
I hope Milo is coping alright with the fireworks tonight - my two don't bother with them, perhaps it's the gundog in them?
It's so lovely to hear you and Tracey are now on the road to recovery - me and Kim next.
Take care now - talk soon.
