Hi Wendy! I had a spasm in the middle of a heart catheter test at the hospital last year. Woke me right up in the middle of the procedure, so they stopped. Went in for heart palps, dad died at 42, I was 40...so they kept me there a few days. No heart issues, I am good! That test sucked though! Final diagnosis was GERD.

if you ever get raging chest pains and pressure along with sweats and palps...that was me last year racing off to the hospital! How the hell are we supposed to know when all we read about is how heart attacks in women present differently from men. Also...we are more likely to have heart issues at this stage and get misdiagnosed!

So right Lou! I was reading about heart attack symptoms in women and all of them are on the list of menopause symptoms! No wonder we're racing off to the freaking ER!

I felt it this morning! it is awful and scary..chest wall pain which sometimes is radiating to ribs. It is not my heart because it is more noticeable from the other side. Running to ER thinking that I had a heart attack and gave me xanax

I used to have it the first hours of my period..now it seems happening on day 3 or 4 of cycle..

    I thought silent reflux, too

When happens, I cannot move and it is very difficult to breath, too. It is really scary as all peri symptoms

Muscle spasms near my right shoulder blade. Mine are stress induced form my job and I'm sure menopause hasn't helped. I had one so bad one day. I had to go to my doctor and get a shot.
