I don't be know what to do right now I'm shaking.. my chest is tight and hurts and I'm having shortness of breath and pain in my upper stomach. I want to go to the hospital because my lower abdomen was in sooo much pain yesterday and even my right side of my stomach was hurting. To be honest my whole entire stomach was just in pain. I slept it off and woke up to the chest pain now! What should I do ???

Hi try to calm down I know it's hard but if your feeling so poorly I think you should get medical attention. I don't know if this is just something that has happened and you haven't had it before or any tests done but if not get a doctor or go to a/e xxxx

I get a great deal of anxiety attacks. My suggestion is you should get medical attention. But try your best to stay calm. Breath in slow through your nose breath slow out of your mouth do this several times. Helps you relax. And if heart is racing the breathing helps slow it down slow it doesn't feel like it's beating out of your chest. Try your best to relax. But definitely get medical attention. I hope everything works out for you. Hang in there. I know it's hard. Matter of fact i had a episode yesterday it can be scary but just gotta try to be calm and do your slow breathing . At least that is what helps me. You Definitely want to get checked by a doctor.

Breathe!!! You didn't give me a whole lot to go on so I'm going to start with saying if you have never had these symptoms before or have not been diagnosed with anxiety or had your heart cleared then yes go to the hospital. Now assuming that you do have anxiety, you need to breathe, take any medication you have, call your doctor or psychiatrist and let him/her know what is going on with you. You may need to change your meds or change your dosages. If you aren't on meds, you might need to take something to control your symptoms. I have been diagnosed with anxiety/panic attacks for over 20 years, medication and therapy are the only things that help me function. You can do some research online about coping skills, things you can do at home or things that are natural that might help and won't hurt. Things like aromatherapy, breathing exercises, yoga, meditation, diets (what foods to avoid), anything you can find that might help you deal with your symptoms. I have chest pains on an almost daily basis, feels like I am definitely having a heart attack, along with a ton of other horrible symptoms and weird feelings. Anxiety can cause all of them, you would be amazed at the kinds of symptoms people can have from anxiety and anxiety alone. Try journaling, it works wonders for me when I am on the verge of running to the Emergency Room once again. I just sit and cry and write, sometimes for an hour. I write down everything, how I feel, what I was doing, I yell at the page, tell my anxiety how I really feel about it, and sometimes I curse and ask God why. Usually by the time I am done writing, I am done crying, and I feel better enough to not go to the E.R. It has also been a helpful tool to go back and read my entries, to see that I felt all of these things before and I didn't die then, I was fine. Also good to show your doctor and/or psychiatrist as a record because Lord knows we never remember everything when we get in front of them. Try taking a hot epsom salts bath, anxiety makes our bodies tense up and tensing up makes our anxiety worse, it helps to loosen up your muscles and should bring that tightness down a notch. If you have rescue meds such as xanax or ativan, take one of those and jump in the tub, drink a lot of water too. Avoid all caffeine and energy drinks. And like I said before, talk to your medical team. Good Luck!!!
