Chest discomfort

For the last year or so I have been having chest pains. My chest will get tight, I’ll get light headed, I’ll have pain running down my left arm. I have been to the ER multiple times and every time they say it’s heart burn. I’ve had a stress test with an echo just a few months ago and they found nothing. However, just today I’m outside tilling my garden and I suddenly get dizzy and have the same tightness in my chest. My blood pressure is 120/80 on my right arm on my left arm it’s 129/87. I feel miserable. I feel like it’s heart burn but at this point I’m not sure any more. This has been an every day issue the last 3-4 weeks. I’m not sure if I’m just tired, dehydrated, or maybe I am having heart issues. No idea what to do

I get this often my left arm aches and tightens so does the top of my chest I also feel myself breathing in alot trying to fill my lungs up !! But have had many tests and visits to the ER and all were clear I just try to remember everything's okay and have been fine every other time it's happened but it's still scary 😕

I am to the point of losing my mind. When it hits me I cannot function at all. I have to sit down and wait it out. Sometimes it will last for days. This time it’s been on going for two weeks. Nothing seems to relieve it.

Are you taking anything? I've been given omeprozole but I have exact feelings now and have taken my pill ??!! I'm actually going to take a gaviscon tablet to see if it helps

I was on omeprozole for a year or so and my dr took me off it. Said it is bad for your kidneys. Put me on something else twice a day.

I've had these same problems for months. I have been to ER my GI doctor and got meds for acid reflux. I've had a stress test as well they all say it's the acid reflux. Maybe you should get a GI specialist they can help. It want stop but they can help. Do you have anxiety?

I used to have panic attacks when I first got the pains yes but am obviously still subconsciously not 100% better as sometimes I can feel myself getting panicky and trying to breath deeper which then stresses me out ....it's a vicious circle I'm not sure if my acid reux causes panic attacks or other way round ??? Do you have anxiety ?do you struggle to breathe too ?

I’ve had a scope done twice. No I don’t have anxiety. I’m a school teacher and a high school softball coach. I am under some stress but nothing too bad. I’ve had these problems even when I’m off in the summer.

Yes my anxiety is bad had to get on meds . I was always in fear of having a heart attack. I bet that's your problem I couldn't get myself together until I got a grip on my anxiety. My breathing was always short of breath still have that problem but not as bad. Just relax stop being afraid if you can if not get meds low dose to help .I couldn't even sleep at night I was just stressed and worried panicking about everything trying to diagnose myself with anything even cancer I was a hot mess.

It definitely sounds like a heart problem friend, I had similar, and still do, plus acute muscle cramps and spazams all over the body. No appetite either.

I also suffer from acute anxiety and stress, since childhood, it sounds a common problem / factor in most causes that's posted on this site.

Thatvwhat I worry about. But I had heart test done just a few months ago and they found nothing. Went to dr today BP was perfect and she believes it’s acid reflux. So she changed my meds again. She’s giving me a week to see what happens. Just pray that’s all it is

If acid reflux affected our right arm not left I sure majority of us wouldn't think twice about it , it's because it's linked to left arm that we worry but if you have had tests done it's unlikely to be heart related ..good luck with new meds 😊

Hi, i am in the same boat actually.....I have had chest pains Since Feb. I have been to the ER 5 times. I had an Endoscopy, & Manometry done. All were normal. Can you believe it! The Dr. That did the ENDOSCOPY prescribed me Pantopazole & Said maybe mild hearburn. But hes not really sure. Also i been feeling Breathless.....So now im off to the Pulmonologist.....My PCP thinks its all Anxiety! Shes insane. I get chest pains, bloated, dizzy, & always fatigue...I Hope you figure out whats going on with you... Also, um not too happy with the ER staff....They also told me they do not know whats causing my chest pain. Its Not Anxiety bcuz i wake up with chest pain. Ill see what this new Doc has to say🤔🤔🤔

That is exactly what I’ve been through. Nobody can find anything. Something has to give though because I am absolutely miserable and am unable to function

Daniel, I went about 2,3 years ago with shortness of breath, coughing, clearing throat etc, acid reflux he says, PPI'S he says, hospital says, heart, lungs fine, hospital says???? Double PPI'S, pharmacist says that dose will kill you!!!! If your esophagus is burnt, inflamed? Think of the deferred pain close around the esophagus! Plus if the opposite is true and you don't have enough acid????  What happens????  Food sits in the stomach and??? Fermentation takes place giving off gas, bloating, indigestion. Have you done the home bicarbonate of soda test.?

I don’t think I have. I’ve done so many tests. I’m starting to wonder if I have a Hiatal Hernia. Apparently that can give you all the same symptoms of heart problems also

Ask for a camera down then, 2 scenarios? I'v had camera down, no Hernia, my mate has a massive Hernia, you can see it through his shirt, he gets less problems than me, he avoids beer, he lies flat in bed. You tell me?
