Citalopram 20-40mg

Hi, i'm a 23 year old who has recently upped my medication from 20mg to 40mg, i have noticed upon upping the tablets im starting to get some side effects and was wondering if anyone else had expierenced them before. i suffer from health anxiety and the side effects have been really scaring me. i have increased anxiety and have had a few teary episodes i upped the medication about 2 days ago, i also struggle with jaw ache/ clenching and have always done so since i started the medication. i also get this weird feeling of pressure on one side of my face. hot and cold flashes, feeling sick and no appetite i did get all of these side effects previously but its been around 10 months since i upped them so im very nervous. just wanting some reassurence that things will pass. ☺ look forward to hearing from you guys

    You say you upped the medication 2 days ago,but then you say you upped 10 months ago. Wondering why as well you've gone from 20mg to 40mg. Would've thought it be better to increase to 30mg first to see how that went. I went from 20mg to 30mg some years ago and couldn't stay there as I felt zombified and it was affecting my memory so I reduced after several months. Jaw clenching and teeth grating is a side effect I've suffered with on these type of medications and a lot of people have it and is a horrible side effect. That's why I wonder why you've gone straight to the maximum dosage as side effects can worsen on higher doses. How long were you on 20mg ? The increased anxiety, especially going to 40mg is normal.
