Citalopram and pregabalin help please 🙏

hi all doctor stopped my tablets citalopram 40mg after 2 day I was a mess and and retstarted 40mg again but my symptoms got worse over the 7 days so I had a major breakdown at the hospital ect. I've been taking 30mg of citalopram again for 13 days along with pregabalin 50mg 3 times a day for 5 days. how long do you all think it will take to settle again?? as I'm still feeling anxious low mood low appetite hardly any sleep, tight head feeling. I just want to feel better again 😞 anyone been through the same as me and how long did it take for you to Starr feeling yourself again. my body has gone through a big shock so I no its going to time I was just wounding if anyone been through it and times scale when there medication leveled out again . thank you for replys xxxxx

    Hi Cheryl,

    i was started on 20mg about a week ago and my side effects have been awful all of the above ive cut it down to 10 mg but the insomnia im experiencing is awful ive not slept in 4 days. the dr gave me some sleeping tablets i took one last night and still woke all night. your not alone xx

      hello sorry your going through the same it's awful. what sleeping tablets did doctor give you? xx

      he gave me promethazine hydrochloride 25mg i did actually get a few more hours sleep last night thank god.

      that good then . how you doing now sizzle? I've still got anxiety but it's mire my mood now not interested in anything ect feel sicky all the time aswell 😔

      ive spoken with my dr today they are putting me on mirtrazapine instead of citalopram as ive not been sleeping so fingers crossed it will work better and help me sleep. yes i was feeling sicky to

      hopefully they will be better for you then 🤞 alot of people don't go on medication because they can't handle the side effects but sometimes you just have to push yourself to take it everyday as hard as it is for them to get into system and start settling down. I've got sleeping tablets. and lorazepan to take if anxiety gets to high x

      Hi Cheryl,

      i took my first one last night and slept really well. woke up a bit shaky but hopefully that will go through out the day. how are you feeling x

      hello yeah I'm getting there anxiety not to bad. head feels tight and low mood but hopefully that will pass as the medication starts to take effect 🤞 really pleased you have a good night's sleep. what are you taking it for anxiety and depression? xxx

      Hi cheryl,

      yes seems to be ok they make me tired im only taking 7.5mg and also very hungry which isnt good but other than that all is good. how are you doing?x

      hey oh that's not to bad. could I ask what your taking them for ? Still struggling alittle bit saw doctor today and said give it more time for meds to settle done test ecg ect all fine. got to go back tomorrow for a full blood count as I'm getting palpitations alot to see if it's anything in blood causing them. if nit then it's my medication but we will see what bloods come back as and go from there. glad your doing okay though 😊 xxx

      Ive been suffering since i had my little boy 5 years ago with lots of different symptoms due to my c section. im still waiting for a diagnosis but i have extreme fatique dizzyness soooo many other symtoms but the tablets are for the anxiety and depression. i see you had pregablin i was given that but didnt take it as i was scared. do you find it a good medication? x

      o bless you 😔 they say pregabalin can take 4 weeks to work for anxiety im just over 2 weeks but I've had headaches and blurred vision from them so far 😔 my anxiety has got alot better I'm also on 30mg citalopram I was on 40mg just reduced 3 weeks to 30mg so I'm still waiting for it all to kick in properly xxxxx

      how are you finding the citalopram? i had awful insomnia on it i didnt sleep for a week. ive only been on mine for 2 weeks and im taking a low dose but they also take about a month or so to kick in so il see x

      hello. Well I was doing okish untill last night kept tossing and turning feeling hot tingling in hands Nd arms couldn't sleep. I had my dose lowerd to 30mg 3 and bit weeks ago so I was hoping it would be all settled now but obviously not 😪 I've got a full blood test today to see if anything in blood and body causing anxiety and palpitations other then just anxiety xxxx

      hey thank you for the message. they went okay got to ring up tomorrow after 2.30 to see if back. how are you doing? I was also very tearful yesterday so I went into pharmacy and they said give it another week if still no change go back to doctor about changing medication. I've been on citalopram for 11 years so it might be just the fact that they are not reaching my needs anymore 😔. are you in the UK? xx

      and the max dose on citalopram is 40mg and I tried to come down on them because I was getting alot of palpitations so going up to the max dose again isn't really a option 😏

      wow you've been on them a long time. im only on 7.5 of mirtrazapine they help me sleep amazingly but i think i will need to up them soon to 15mg just worried about side effects. yes im in the UK, where are you xx

      hello. yeah side effects are horrible arnt they feel like your back at square one until they settle again. why do you think u need to up them soon ?? yeah I'm in UK. Portsmouth. we're abouts are you?
