hi everyone,
I've been taking citalopram for about 10 months now and it has stopped having the same effect, I keep having all the bad thoughts again and even self harmed. It's starting to affect my relationship and my work life. I went to the doctors a week ago to explain this but all they said Is I need more counselling which I felt wasn't benefitting me at all. I just got back off my holiday which I thought would help but my anxiety is back, I feel low and all I'm doing is sleeping and have a lack of energy again. I'm at a loss of what to do and just can't understand why it's just stopped having any effect.
If this has happened to anyone else please what did you do? Or any advice would be great as I don't know where to turn.
Many thanks,
Siobhan

I just ask for you to Try very hard to make those thoughts of harming yourself, to go away, I always say, there is nothing ever so bad that could cause you to hurt yourself, no-one, no situation, nothing is ever so bad...ever. Try your hardest to push those thoughts away. You are a beautiful human being, you are not a mistake! God does not make mistakes! You are worth everything to a great many people on this earth!! We might get broken sometimes, and that is why we have...thankfully...places like this to come to, to help us through these times! We are here for you, we don’t judge anyone, we understand, as most of us have either been through, or are going through the same things as each of us are going through. So, all I can ask is, for you to hand in there...keep posting, and like I said, you will be getting more responses from others that will be able to give you some great advice!! I wish I could give you more advice on the meds, but Cital is the only one I’ve been on, and I am lucky, it has worked for me.
In the mean time, I will keep you in my prayers, and send you a {{{{HUG}}}} as we all can use one of those now and then. Best of Luck to you!!
