Clearing out old boxes - is there a danger of inhaling something nasty?

Posted , 3 users are following.

I’m having a clear out because I’ve had a lot of my old stuff boxed up for a long time, some of it for around 20 years.

It’s a mixture of old books, toys, electronics and various other trinkets I’ve amassed over the years so I’m wondering if I should be aware of inhaling any dangerous particles (dust, spores etc) that might have built up during that time. Is there much of a risk here with these kinds of things? Do I need to take any precautions? I’ve done a few boxes already...

hi samr, well 7 days and youve probably finished. lol lol but i was going to ask if you have any lung problems. if so, i would wear a mask if the stuff seems dusty.  if not, i wouldnt worry about it. i just cleaned out a closet where everything got shoved into it. lol what a mess but it didnt seem nasty. good luck to you
