Anyone ever experience coccyx bone pain? ( bone between the cheeks of but)? When i sit I get a discomfort on the bone. I've had this before but its been a while. If you ve experience this do you have any idea what could cause this? I haven't had a period since Nov. and the last one was 11/23 don't know if its relevant to what im feeling.

I had that when I first started perimenopause and it lasted for a while. I think it's hormones and inflamation. It went away eventually, but it was so horrible. I am sorry you have this! Your not alone.

I get this in the middle of the night sometimes, its horrid and i have to get up and walk around for a while and eventually it subsides... it doesn't happen too often but it is odd and quite painful.

Yes mam... I get this periodically and it seems to flare up before my period starts. I have to use a heating pad while at work. Ibuprofen and Flexeril works wonders too...
Hopefully you'll get some relief soon...

Hi Mary, yes I had this it lasted for well over a year maybe even closer to 2 years, it all started right about the time my symptoms 1st started, and I did have a lot of inflammation in my body at the time, I was in peri hormones were screwy as they still are, was getting diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and hashimotos so a lot of inflammation going on at that time.. I also tripped over my dog in the middle of the night and landed right on my tail bone without even arms out to break my fall.. So I may have even cracked tail bone then.. All I know is it hurt for a long long time.. And eventually they pain just left me.. It g o t to the point I would use a doughnut pillow to sit on, and would roll over onto my side before sitting up, and sit up that way..

Im 2 years post and my symptons greatly improved until the past few months i got a post bleed back in August. Afterward, a couple weeks later my symptoms returned. i had to do ultrasound and will be scheduling hysterectomy. Its like a nightmare again..

I had that in the first couple years of peri, it was extremely painful. My doc said it was musculoskeletal. After that passed, I seem to get flairs of deep/burning pain of costochondroitis (upper rib and sternum area). Heat relieves the pain...bath, heating pad, jacuzzi, etc. It will pass!

Oh my, so thankful you brought this topic up. 2 days ago i has the worst pain in the coccyx e bone. I cried all day. I thought to myself "now what" as if i need more pain. I didn't know if it was from hormones or a sudden movement that brought it on. Today i feel like the pain subsided a lot. So much madness that hormonal changes can bring on. Why in the hell aren't women informed. Praying for all.

Hi, yes I remember it well when I had it quite a few years ago so maybe it was the start of my peri to. I remember I was in agony for over a week and then it just disappeared, I get it nowadays slightly but its my lower back atm thats causing me trouble. Just wish all this would end ☹️

I have had this too. Mine comes and goes. I chalked it up to weakening muscles, glad to hear it is just another peri moment.
