I was on 15mg mertazapine for around 6 months and for some reason I thought I could handle going off all at once. Well day 2 today now and last night was back to waking un at 3:30am. Plus I don't feel that good. I am going back on tonight I think. I'm tempted to take a 1/4 right now in the daytime. Should I wait until tonight or take a small amount right now?

It's a wonder drug. It helps but getting off it won't be easy.

I was on mirtz for abt 9months. I actually tapered off very, very slowly. I had no withdrawal symptoms. However, not everybody is the same. I would take a small amount tonight.

I went back to 15mg. Slept much better. I'm not ready to taper yet.

Stopped about 3 days after my last dose.
