coming off fluoxetine

Hi all,

I've been on fluoxetine for post natal depression for 10 months and feel ready to come off them. I 've been asking my GP for some time now to come off them and they have said the norm......do it gradually etc drop one every other day. I asked if I coulod go on a lower dose as I'm on 75mg but was told by the doc that there is only 2 doses, 75 and 150mg! Having just found this site tonight and with my pending doctors appointment coming up, can anyone out there tell me if you can drop down to a lower dose and how do you feel when you're coming off them. Whenever I've forgotten a pill I've felt so poorly, the dizziness etc was horendous and I'm terrified of feeling like this for weeks. I have a 15 month old and a job to hold down, so I gotta get it right!

Can anyone help?

I don't know which country you are in and if the dosage varies from country to country, but I live in UK and am currently on doses of 20 mg...
