concerned about my brain

so on Monday I return to work full time as a teacher and I an sure that physically all will be well - it is a modern building, we have lifts, I will park in a disabled space, I will have a technician with me in my textiles classes and the kids will be great (just releived not to have a supply teacher!) BUT my brain has turned to mush - all i think about is not bending or twisting, walking upright ,finding my grabber and sock putter onner, I chant as i go up and down stairs, looking at what I write on this forum I know I have lost my marbles - how have other people hidden this side effect on returning to work?

It's true we have to continually repeat in our heads the montra's of Good foot up to heaven, bad foot down to hell... No twisting, no crossing legs over mid line. etc.
So, other things that are normal take a back seat.
I went to my G.P. today and got a course of antibiotics, for my hip is inflamed .
And probably is infected.
I just wonder how soon I should be walkig without a walker?? I am 56 and March 9 was my operation date.
I hope everyone else heals well.

I have the stair chant all the while going up or down. I use my sock put-er on-er.and, I can't hide my limp . However, I am walking erect now and don't look as if I'm a granny any longer.
May you have nothing good luck and speed in your step!!
