Hi, I just wanted you to know that I started on 30mg of methimazole when my iron was low, my blood count was 8.5 I started taking iron pills once a day and two times a day when I could tolerate it. I also had low vitamin D and I have been doing 5,000 mg a day. It's very important to get all of our levels up with thyroid problems. I was fine taking all of these together within a few month I felt almost human. Good luck to you and I hope you feel better soon.

This is a question you should ask your Doc., You might be able to take an iron supplement. I would make an appointment with him/her to discuss your concerns.
