Hi zoe,I suffer severe nerve pain in both legs,as for the meds I started on pregablin then amitypline, then changed to gabapentin (2100mg)of which I have been on for 15 odd years plus tramadol (200mg),I have over the years had alsorts from acupuncture to a 9 year battery in my butt 😀,I remember being sent for physio and cognitive therapy, the physio was one leg up etc all painful but they wouldn't have it,cognitive they tell you about how to think differently about your pain,I listened then took my meds lol,the worse thing is that nerve damage seems to be invisible (so annoying ) and so debilitating and painful only you know how much,I have been on liquid morphine, morphine patches,4500mg gabapentin, 400mg tramadol etc etc,but after a while some of the pain you bear alone and the rest with drugs (you change meds, reduce),side affects come and go,I really have none except talk to much 😀,any questions I can help you with just ask me or anyone on here there's normally someone with the same moans and groans.

Hello Zoe,  I suffer nerve pain in my legs and take Gaberpentin which helps a great deal.  I have had Amitriptyline in the past and that works good too, thou i was very tired on that, i must say i slept well. I have not had physiotheraphy for nerve pain thou i would suspect it's a pain clinic which teaches pain management, positive thinking and thought patterns, distraction methods etc.
