Hi so in 2014.. I cut my self with a reallllllly realy old rusty!!! Razor.. and the next day blisters came up that we're itchy and painful the doctor just "looked at it and said it's herpes ".. I never took any test !.. but I knew I had a very high risk lifestyle..I have only had "razor bumps since ..  so now 3 days ago  "2018 ".. I took my fist full std test because I've been having frequent utis!.. it came back negative for herpes.1 and 2

. result " herpes 2.(igm) . -0.37 ... and herpes 2 (igg) .. 0.26 .. what is the range for positive igg?

question is could it be dormat and not show up over 3 years  ?? Did I wait too long to test  ?? Plz help ,, I believed I had it for so long because of this doctor now I don'trolleyes could it have been a reaction from the rust on the razor?

Have you taken any antivirals ?

And besides those bumps did you have or are having any other symptoms That you may think are herpes related? 3 years is enough for antibodies to appear so you may not have it at all .

Waiting longer to test is actually better for herpes, but the correct test is the igg antibody test, not igm, which is neither accurate nor reliable.
