about a few weeks ago (end of december/early january) i noticed bumps around my anus after unprotected gay anal sex in november... is this genital herpes or butt acne? if herpes (i'm so sad) what medication can make it go away and prevent further breakouts?

Hi,I'm sorry, it does look like herpes. You need to get it swabbed to confirm and identify the type. Doctors can prescribe you antivirals (Acyclovir) that can speed of the healing and prevent future outbreaks. I heard that lysine supplements do wonders for long term management. This is very common. If it's positive you'll have the responsibility to inform your partners, but you'll have a normal life. Hang in there!

some of those look like blisters & ulcers, so it easily could be herpes. valacylcovir is a good medication for hsv. dont be sad everything will be ok
