Dark spots on shaft of penis. What could it be?

So I was in the shower today, and I figured hey I’ll do a testicle exam, feel for lumps what not. Well nothing alarming, but as I was looking at them I noticed the pigment all on the shaft one my penis looked kind of  spotty on the right side. Whatever these are, aren’t raised, and look brown, some spots darker (keep in mind I’m fairly dark skinned in that region anyhow). They seem to be more present where there are veins. 

I’m a healthy 35 year. Don’t smoke don’t drink, eat pretty clean. I’m not sexually active, I haven’t been for awhile. I have been a bit stressed lately though too. 

Just wondering if anyone has any idea what this could be? I googled and it said it could be lentigines, melanotic macules or some sort of melanosis.  So I’m not jumping to conclusions here, and my doc is off for a month.
