Dates 2015?

Just an idea, I though it might be good if we all added our pre op and op dates on one thread so that we can all see easily who is up for their op next and wish them well
I'll start;
My Pre-Op is 15th Jan and my TAH is 29th Jan

It's becoming real now the pre-op is looming, and I am planning the flat so I can reach stuff etc. How are your nerves doing? I think lots of happy thoughts and treats are the order of the week! Take care.

I have found great comfort in collecting things for my case, and packing them in bags in sections (stops the brain from thinking nasty things!)
I've pinched Luisa's idea of the travel kettle (hope you don't mind), I've just ordered one from Amazon, brilliant idea, every little helps as Tesco says!
I cannot get over this site, there is so much help and support just when we all need it.
Love
Jacqui

Many thanks, I am so impatient, wish they would sort me tomorrow and I could get on with recovery but I know I have to wait my turn patiently (trouble is I don't do patience!).
Ah questions coming up straight from my journal, they might not all be relevant but might get you thinking about things you need to know.
1. How long will I be in hospital
2. Will I have a bladder tack
3. When can I start using my Ovestin cream again
4. How soon can I start kegel exercises again, gentle or advanced
5. When can I bend down
6. When can I stand up for any length of time
7. When can I walk the dog
8. How soon can I lift the dog up
9. When can I start ironing
10. When can I start light housework
11. When can I start exercising, such as Zumba, Wii Board, Jane Fonda, and Dancing
12, Can I eat fruit again after my bladder is sewn into position
13. When can I hoover
14. When can I have sex
15. Can I wax before the op
16. Can I take my medications before/after the op
17. Visiting times
They are really going to love me aren't they! I will probably turn a 2 hour appointment into about 3 hours!
Let me know how you get on.
Lots of luck, Jacqui

Do the wards have access to Wifi?
What do I need to bring?
Can my partner wait with me before operation?
Are there any pre op drinks or washes?
How long before I can go back to work?

Hope your pre-op has gone/is going well. Mine was fine, I'm a bit concerned about the possibility of being amnemic as it is 'ladies week' and also one of my very heavy days so I hope things will be ok. I've not been given any bowel preps, pre op drinks or any special shower gels etc x
