Hi, glad to hear you are turning the corner. I remember the first day I started to feel well. I thought I would never get there! Your wife sounds like a wonderful support and I wish you both all the very best. Look after yourself!

Hi Hanky...delighted to hear things have started to improve for you.  Long may it continue.  Best wishes to yourself and your wife...you sound like a great couple.  Your message should give great hope to people in the early days of taking sertraline.. the trick is definitely to hang in there.  I'm now in the process of weaning off it..and I still have the bad sweating rolleyes ..just hoping that will go soon! Best wishes

Thanks for you post hanky.  I thought I would see improvement within two weeks but the side effects for me have just exacerbated.   I'm very happy to here you are improving.  I have The night sweats that you wrote about. I wake up soaked and feel like I just got out of the shower. It's really amazing what this drug must do to your body.  I've read a lot of posts that encourage a person to stay on the medication but im getting to the point of the big decision: to quit or not to quit.

I can't imagine a day when I'm not filled with anxiety or worry anymore.  That would be such a blessing.  If I could see glimpses of serenity it would give me hope.  It might just be too early in treatment.

    Thank you for you post.

Thanks For your reply Harry. Today my 12th day and my appetite is way low specially in the morning. Afternoons are better on my mood side only, mornings I feel like doing nothing. Will talk to my doc tomorrow and see is this will be temporarily or not.

hi jose, you NEED to eat to give yourself energy, me being diabetic ( type 1 ) where i have to eaat and dont want to, i seen my mental health nurse today straight after work and really opened up to her, she said shes thinking of uping my dose to 150mg GULP,, i had a good day at work and opened up to some colleagues etc and they listened and advised me, i got my 3rd week of CBT tomorrow night, where i missed the 2nd week as was going through a hard time, thinking loads of negatives thoughts and had great conversations with my wife and she is in this relationship for the long haul and its silly of my to think shes going to leave me, i just want thoughts to go, but from suicidal last week to where i am now, i cannot belive im getting better rapidly but hey people aare different and they effect them in diff ways, so you start eating lady :-p

Thanks Hanky; I am putting all my efforts to eat.

My wife told me yesterday that I've been absent for the last two days and she was right. She is also supporting me as I am glad to hear yours is because sometimes making it alone is more difficult.

In the afternoon I feel better than mornings but still appetite is slow. Good luck Hanky.

Good luck on CBT tomorrow. I just woke up and is a little better than yesterday morning but still kind of anxious and no appetite ; as you I have to swallow food with water. Only around 3 pm I can eat more or less normal but at night appetite goes down again.

Let's see how the days go.

      Again good luck Hanky.

went for my CBT and learnt about where rules come from etc, i sat there and listened and understood, i have 2 more sessions to go and so far its been interesting where they break it down to show you in an easier way.
