hey there, at long last I have internet and indeed electricity, almost 48 hours without due to hurricane force winds wreaking havoc, thank the lord for my woodburner providing heat and allowing me to warm soup etc, kinds take the electricity for granted.... until a powercut. so day 17, I think, lost track! not feeling to bad, better than a few days ago for sure, no headaches, shakes have gone, just slight spaced out thing still going on. got ever so slight anxiety due to a hospital app next week so that may increase in time, taking me out my comfort zone probably the reason, hope everybody is coping well? congratulations to Rachel and newborn daughter smile

Oooooo David, glad all is OK now, the winds our end were crazy enough, can't imagine how bad you had it.

So glad you're feeling brighter, and the side effects have eased, as for the log burner, I couldn't be without mine!

Take each day as it comes, and stay strong. Xx

    Boooo I haven't got a log burner ...... but I've got a 'slanket' - a cosy blanket with sleeves :-)

Yes hasn't it been windy - heard you'd had it worse in Scotland.  Glad you've got electric back again, and that you're not doing too bad too.  It does make you feel slightly uneasy when out of your comfort zone.

    Hi david

Winds were mad here too tho didn't lose electricity! SO glad you have the wood burner to keep you warm n with hot food. :-)

You sound like you're doing really well on the new dose. Could be anxiety over hospital thats bothering you. Know how you feel, Im really anxious at the moment n dont know if need to look at dose or whether its because ive had some medical things that are playing on my mind and waiting for follow up apts. Guess we wont know until after the apnts but I hope it doesnt bother you too much.

Keep strong. Hope everything continues to improve for you.

    Take care

      hi Vix,

I know as I've got older I tend to worry more over doctors and hospital appointments, in fact up until a year ago I was rarely at either, now it's almost a 2nd home. apart from that I'm doing fine I must say which is fantastic compared to a couple months ago, just the odd blip now and again which is par for the course by all accounts. the winds have dropped up here for now, got a couple inches of snow now which is beautiful, more gales forecast mid week sad You sound like you are doing fine youself Vix, long may it continue, and thankyou for your message great to hear from you smile

I know what you mean about hospital appointments, they really can play on your mind subconciously. Ive had more in last few months than over forty years! Ill be getting my own parking space soon! :-D

Not sure im doing fine tho, physical effects/symptoms mostly gone but im stuck in a very low place with a lot of anxiety and as opposed to a bad day or so that I was expecting this is running in to weeks. Feels like ive slipped back down that slope :-( seeing dr Tuesday so hoping she has some ideas . Ho hum the trials of this flippin illness.

The fact that you and others have managed to improve so much stops me losing faith. :-) keep those smileys coming!

aww Vix that's not so good, I am truely surprised to hear that you have started slipping down that slope, you are always so positive and encouraging to me when you're on here, perhaps you need what I had- a new prescription for 40mgs! Took a couple of weeks but was certainly worth the struggles involved, I do hope your doctor "sorts you out" so to speak smile smile smile smile smile smile smile

I agree with, David, vix. Don't lose hope because there are alternatives!

If you improved too little and is having anxiety, perhaps a less activating SSRI will do the trick (sertraline, citapram, paroxetine...). If you improved a good amount, you may try upping the dose.

From David's posts you can see that it is not hard to go from 20 mg to 40 mg.
