hello world, day 20, not a happy bunny at all, this is my 3rd day in a row feeling awful from morning til night, constant headaches, tense neck and shoulder muscles, tense to the point of being really sore. moan moan moan! find myself a bit confused at times, losing track of what I'm doing or going into a room and not remembering why type thing, bizzare or what. at times I look back and laugh but other times I get so annoyed. Ive got no patience half the time, shun people and even family, hermit like. still waves of anxiety drowning me from time to time, but I know I've got to suffer pain before gain so I will continue. I do hope everybody else that I've chatted with is getting along fine with their Fluoxetine! chat soon yeah, caio

That sucks a lot. I know how you feel.
Tomorrow will be my first day of the 6th week (36th day). I'm definitely better than a week ago. As a matter of fact, until last week, I was going to the restroom at work for crying, every day basically. I haven't done this in this week yet. This week I feel calmer and less sad, and had some moments of hapiness.
Next week I have another appointment with the GP, so its another week to see improvement. If it keeps improving, I think I will stay on 20 mg. If not, I will ask for a higher dose.
Best luck, david!

I just try to keep thinking this is what everyone says to expect so although its awful its "normal" for this illness and treatment.
Moan away, its good to vent. Hope you start feeling better soon. Hang in there!

You sure are suffering the "side effects" of getting onto this drug! It is the only drug I know (my first experience with psychotropics) for which the side effects are the only effects in the first weeks!! The pits! I remember well being locked in an anxiety cycle as you are now.
It's all adrenaline, nothing but adrenaline and your over-stimulated nervous system!! or so says our good book - and which I firmly believe now I'm out on the other side and my adrenaline has subsided eneough that I can think again - a delight for me.
So the thing is to find ways of calming yourself and distracting yourself from your whirling thoughts. What are the things you like to do? Can you do any of them now?
Good luck on your journey and here's hoping that you are soon to be ouut of the woods and back on to llevel, clear ground.
