Freestork, you've done so well!!!!! You've pretty much sailed through this too:-)))) My physio told me I was one in a hundred getting 115 at three weeks, so you must be VERY happy with what you've got there. Well done!!!
Just phoned my hospital because no letter still for my next one and they're not even sending letters out until about another month and then the op is likely to be two months after that, so I'm going to have to wait a bit longer than I expected. But so be it. It's worth waiting for.

Husband's just reminded me that compression stockings will be more comfortable to wear then, so looking at it positively LOL!
My surgeon told me that the ROM will increase over two years, so I was a bit worried at having 137 - don't want that to increase too much LOL!

It's all taking longer for the poor NHS is weak due to need of more government support! I have not seen my consultant yet and I am coming up to twelve weeks. I don't mind very much as I am not worried about anything to do with knee function, but things must be very strained. I phoned up around six weeks and was told by Secretary more clinics being arranged and I would be phoned. I will chase up if I have not heard anything in the next couple of weeks

Yes, it is struggling more and more! The waiting list for my knee place was 5 - 8 weeks at the beginning of the year and now it's more like 14 - 16 weeks for my surgeon. Having said that, he's got a much longer waiting list than anyone else there. If I'd not wanted him again, I could have had the knee done faster, but since it was virtually pain free last time with a very fast recovery I'm waiting for him again! Worth the wait!

In the great shape of things it's not so long to wait and worth it Chris given the excellent result from your first TKR. I'm hoping not to have a 2nd, no problems at all with my right knee. Had a torn meniscus repair over 15yrs ago had no issues since. Wirral waiting list horrendous lol

Yes, it's important to feel confident about your surgeon!

You're absolutely right Freestork! I'm not dying, and the pain just reminds me how wonderful the other one is:-)))) So it's a case of marching on (sort of) looking forward to it when it comes:-))))) I remember your waiting list there. I think so many others have this sort of waiting list too. My friend in Australia has been waiting well over a year and was told recently 'another year'!, so we have to count our blessings when they're there!

I didn't know my surgeon at all before my last op Jenny, but I had asked the secretary of the head of the hospital to guide me because I was worried about the hypermobility aspect and this was the one she recommended - and he turned out to be the one that everyone is prepared to wait for. Says something:-))))
