day 27 and counting

Hi all

Got to day 27 and although im still feeling nauseous its slightly better today than other days have been. Managed to get to work, thatll distract me for a few hours. If it wasnt for the nausea id probably feel quite upbeat but that constant feeling n struggling to eat does drag me down.

But much better than some days so gotta be thankful overall. Hope everyone is having a good day?

Take care all

Good to hear you're getting there :-)

Another remedy to try - ginger ale.  On a cruise this year in very rough sea, the crew recommended ginger ale.  Tried it and the nausea went away in about 15 mins.  Worked for my husband too who was really sick.  :-)

Brilliant!!  Best to try all sorts of things :-)  I've had accupuncture for sciatica years ago.  Weird how it works!

Hope one of the remedies work - let us know how you get on :-D

Late night eating and/or drinking? ;-)

Something I used to find if I'd had a great time somewhere (even holiday) it follows with a day of being a bit blue ...... always wondered if it was reality of the depression after I'd relaxed and enjoyed myself!

I'm sure the side effects will pass eventually - just so horrible when you have them.

Thanks kate, theres definitely a bit of day after syndrome although I havent dared drink any alcohol yet (probably nearly 4months now -thats probably why I feel depressed..   haha).  I cant face feeling any more nauseous than I already do tho I have to say I am missing a few glasses now and again, maybe try some soon (different people on here have different views on booze with flu so I guess its a case of sip it n see?).

I keep telling myself its all side effects n to just keep looking forward but im afraid some days im a wuss n just feel sorry for myself even though I know its not constructive.  Its at this point I need to stop wallowing and have a word with myself isn't it ?:-)

Thanks for your kind words of support,  it really does help.

      Take care

Feeling nauseous is draining ..... :-)

I drink wine etc ok, but the leaflet does say no alcohol.  But I've been on SSRI for years - so to go without?  Nooooo.  Yes, best sip a teeny amount and see.

the same happens with my daughter, late night or big change in routine and she knows about it the next day, tearful, belly pains, anxious, so she is  trying to stick to a routine, mon to fri seem to go not to bad, then the weekend just goes all weird for her. so, your not on your own with these side effects, please try the tablets( i cant spell it again..lol..) keep them in the fridge, and only take them with a cold drink, we call them the bug tablets( sorry, hope that doesnt put you off) and the Flu pills are called the happy pills, also try nibbling on ginger biscuits, see if that helps, i hope today is a little brighter for you. xx
