Hi on day 28 20mg have been short bursts of feeling more like myself over the last couple of days. Insomnia still a big issue do sleep but it takes me till dawn ... work a couple of night shifts a week so that doesnt help things ... does anyone else feel as if their brain is actually throbbing at times like a tension headache but without the pain ??? I notice it at night ...Still finding it hard to believe I'll ever be well again every week I say next week will be the one that makes the difference now I'm starting wk 5 beginning to loose hope ...

I am also on week 5. I don't have the headache but I have noticed it's a really slow process. I still have anxiety but it seems more manageable over the last two weeks. I think I need to realize I'm becoming a new me and the stress of the last 15 years in an abusive marriage is what got me here. I take it one day at a time for now. My sleep is still very broken as well. Hang in there. I'm right there with you.

Hi Barb ....one day at a time is all we can do ... night shift in A & E might not be relaxing but it does give a sense of perspective. .. as many people with mental health issues as physical ailments ... came home took citalopram and slept well woke up and mood not too bad. .. been letting myself go a bit recen,t which isn't like me so tonight earmarked for a bit off pampering hopefully !!! ?? ... stick in there we'll get there ... eventually ... headache still there not as bad that I need painkillers and if I'm busy I don't seem to notice it unless I think about it ...anyway onwards and upwards ... x

This forum helps so much. For me it helps to know I'm not going crazy and I will be ok eventually. This came on very suddenly for me. After 3-months of therapy I've realized it has been building to this for years. One day at a time is my motto. Make sure you eat. I've also been doing accupuncture once a week for the last month and that is extremely helpful. Best of luck to you today. Hugs

Before you give up and lose hope, just remember that you had had short bursts of feeling yourself again, this is how it can be when you start to recover.
I don't think your job helps that much, but we cannot all easily free ourselves of the things that make us ill or do not aid us.
It can be a slow process, but you are thinking about it more calmly and that added to the positive feeling does mean you are on the right road to recovery! The fact that possibly your work will also slow this recovery (and if you can't change that situation) then you just have to try and work around it.
At the end of the day your mental as well as physical health is the most important thing, nothing else matters - otherwise how can you deal with those other things.
I removed myself from that and those that made me ill - WORK! Well, not the act of working for ever, but the job I had at the time. That was really my first step on the long (for me) road. We could not afford to do it, but we refused to be a slave to a system that does not care treats us as a "human resource" b*ll*ocks I'm a person! Situation now after 19 months is one of ready or not I need to get some pennies coming in, but this time it is on my terms. Possibly this is why it is taking a while, but we will get there.
You must always look forward not back to the old me or myself again it is the new you that is going to be the better person for being here and what you have learned and what, like many of us, you can do to give back.
Keep posting and reading and best wishes.
Regards,
David

Hey there Not Again
I too get that brain feeling once in awhile. Almost feels like i feel my pulse. Lol. I just try and ignore it. Just like its par for the course type of thing. I also have screwed up sleeps. It will get better. Just takes time. I exercise a lot so that helps a lot too. Just stay positive. That is most importAnt!!!'
